Last week, I shared a few ideas for box chain and crystal earrings. Inspiration struck because I was cleaning house on my Pinterest boards, exactly what I need to be doing during this insanely busy time of year. I was particularly taken with the Anthropologie earrings, mixing geometric chain with a bit of sparkle. No longer available to buy, I made my own in silver tone and baguette (rectangle shaped) crystals. Need a simple pair of earrings for holiday festivities? Then look no further. These are a cinch to make and you'll be done in 10 minutes, tops!
Tools and materials
10mm baguette rhinestones in setting
Box chain, cut in two 2-inch pieces
Earring posts and backs
Using a toothpick, apply a thin layer of glue to the long sides of the rhinestones in setting. Press the ends of the chain to either side of the rhinestone. Hold securely in place for a few seconds, then let the glue dry according to package directions. Repeat for the second earring.
Glue the pad of the earring post to the back of the rhinestones and chain. Let dry before wearing.
