Earlier this week I shared some inspiration for new earring styles that I've had my eye on. Some of my favorite earrings are those with the front and back connected by thin, dainty chain. (Like this DIY here!) I've been coveting the minimalist style of bar and chain earrings (similar to these from Catbird), so was ecstatic to find the just right materials at my local bead store. They're easy to make, so read on to find out how to DIY your own!
Tools and Materials
Round nose and chain nose pliers
2 5mm jump rings
Thin chain, cut in two 32mm pieces
Slide a tube bead onto an eye pin. Bend the pin at a 90 degree angle above the tube bead.
Clip the wire of the eye pin, leaving just over 1 cm. Attach one of the pieces of chain to the loop of the eye pin by opening the loop with pliers, then closing after attaching the chain. You can shorten the chain to your liking.
Use the jump ring to attach the other end of the chain to one of the earring backs. Repeat steps for the second earring.
