DIY Hardware Bracket Necklace

As I hinted in Monday's post on my guide to hardware used in jewelry making, I have a new hardware jewelry DIY for you today! After I saw this Madewell necklace, I thought the look could easily be achieved with some corner braces from the hardware store in a mix of metals. It cost less than $10 to make, depending what you have on hand, and really took 2 minutes to make. Here's how!

Tools and materials:
2 feet of cord
1 inch corner braces in brass and steel

Simply stack up the brackets, slide onto the cord, add a new knots to keep in place, and tie the ends of the cord together. You could also swap out the cord with chain to get a sleeker look.
