DIY Deco Cuff

I've got one awesome aunt who-- since learning about my love of reinventing vintage jewelry--has become my supplier for my addiction, combing antique stores for buttons, earrings, and clips. She sent me this pair of vintage dress clips a few months ago, and I quickly put together a sparkly bracelet that was so easy to create and now is one of my most favorite pieces I've made. While I can't link to the exact kind of clip online (that's the thrill of vintage!), there are similar options out there and in antique stores. Find something that speaks to you, and get making!

Tools and materials:
Rhinestone dress clips (or, make your own motif with rhinestone chain)

Snip off the clip portion off of the back of the dress clip using the wire cutters.

 Repeat for the second clip.

Apply glue to the backs of the clips, or rhinestone chain if using instead.

Press firmly into the center of the brass cuff base, and let dry for 24 hours.

  1. This is gorgeous, Erin! If only I lived the fast-paced, glamorous life style of a DC resident...

  2. Will your aunt adopt me? LOL what a fabulous aunt you have, first of all! I wish my family would do the same for me. I absolutely love this creation, it's stunning and so easy. Great job, Erin!

  3. Girl, you're improving yourself with every post!!

  4. Wow, that's super cute, Erin! Great job. That aunt sounds like a fairy godmother--I could use one of those myself.

  5. Wow. Lovely. And congrats to your aunt for finding the clips.
