DIY Wrapped Stone Bracelet

Here's another cabochon project for ya! I wanted to make a simple DIY wrap bracelet, and loved the braided touch seen in the bracelets in Monday's post. I picked up some pretty silver embroidery thread at Michael's to add some shimmer to the rose quartz cabochon I used. Supply details and instructions after the jump.

Tools and materials:
Embroidery floss
4 Jump rings
Cabochon (I used 15mm rose quartz)
Bezel link

 1) Cut six strands of embroidery thread, each 24 inches long. 2) Use pliers to attach a jump ring to either end of the bezel. 3) Loop three of the strands of embroidery thread through one of the jump rings. 4) Begin braiding the threads together, until the braid is about 7 to 8 inches long, or long enough to wrap once around your wrist and then knot. 5) Repeat by adding another jump ring and braid to the bezel. Trim the loose ends of the braids.

6) Finally, add a jump ring to both ends of the bracelet by looping through the knot, with a clasp on one of the ends.

Finished! Happy making, and be sure to share if you try this one!
