DIY Rhinestone & Rope Bracelet

This bracelet takes only two materials and mastering only two steps! It's a constant fixture around my wrist, and I love the texture and nautical flair it brings to my bracelet stack. I made two versions, one with thicker rope and larger chain, and another with smaller chain and thinner rope. Materials and how-to after the jump.

Tools and materials:
Rope (from hardware store), I used 4 1/2 feet of the larger rope
Rhinestone chain (I used 4mm and 6mm), long enough to reach around your wrist, about 6-7 inches

To make the bracelet, I knotted the rope in half, and made square macrame knots around the the rhinestone chain, with the rope laying in between the rhinestones. To do so, alternate looping one end of the rope over the rhinestone chain, then looping the other rope behind the rhinestone chain and through the first rope's loop and pulling tight. Repeat this step on the opposite side, starting with rope on the other side of the chain. Continue alternating knots around the chain. Once you've worked your way down the bracelet, tie the ends into a knot and trim remaining rope.

Happy making!
