DIY Neon Quartz Necklace

I've had my eye on this necklace from La Vie Bobo for a while now, and couldn't resist making one myself, especially after I found the perfect strand of neon pink beads for half off while bead shopping in NYC not too long ago. I went with smaller crystals than the original version, but I still love the combination of beads. How to make it after the jump!

Tools and materials:
18 inches of 8mm neon beads
Quartz point beads
Beading wire
Crimp beads
Jump rings
Jewelry pliers

Begin by looping a 24 inch piece of beading wire around a jump ring, slide on a crimp bead, and press shut with the plier. Add half of the neon beads.

String on the quartz beads from small to big then small again, alternating with the crimp beads (do not crimp shut). Add the remaining neon beads.

Loop the wire through the clasp and a crimp bead and press shut. Trim the excess bead wire.

Happy making!

    1. Hi Janie,
It's been a few years since I made this, so I'm unable to link to what exactly I purchased (it was bought in person at Michael's) and it looks like that link is a little out of date! Here's something off of Etsy that is more like what I used: https://www.etsy.com/listing/231643889/sale-15-inch-strand-of-natural-rock?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_low-craft_supplies_and_tools-jewelry_and_beading_supplies-beads&utm_custom1=cf3cb3ed-beff-4a7b-9c1c-3888804855b1&kpid=231643889&gclid=CKSnsYyU3sUCFUUXHwod71cA-A
      Good luck!
