I recently whipped up this fun necklace out of just a few simple supplies for BuzzFeed's Craft Wars feature (thanks BuzzFeed!). Here's the step-by-step.
Tools and Materials:
Scissors
String (I used pink mason line from the hardware store)
Plain beads
Glitter spray paint
Using a long piece of the mason line, string the beads
loosely and hang outside to spray with the glitter paint, following the
directions on the can. Let the beads dry.
Cut another piece of string, about 48 inches long. Fold the
string in half, and thread a bead over a loop.
Pull bead down to the
center of the doubled string.
Tie a knot on either side of the
bead.
Add another bead on either side of the center bead. You can add as many beads with knots in between them as you like.
Tie a knot on both ends of the string, making a loop with
one end and a double knot with the other. Push the knot through the loop for
the necklace closure.

Could this be any simpler?! It's so cute and SO easy! And...glitter spray paint?! Why am I just hearing of this now??

Erin, those are so cute! I'll have to stay away from that glitter spray paint, though. I'd paint everything with it, including the car! ;)
ReplyDeletelove it! wishingI could be this creative.
