I've been chipping away at my to-do-before-I-leave-NYC list, slowly but surely. There are still plenty of adventures yet to be had, but I wanted to share with you those that are DIY related. These are just a few pictures I took when I stopped into Tinsel Trading, Martha Stewart's "favorite store in the whole world."
It was a lovely surprise, full of an old-world feel that fits perfectly with the Martha empire's aesthetic. I loved the antique storage-- drawers, cabinets, and wire basket's filled with trim. They had loads of ribbon, silk flowers, and packets of jewels and goodies. If you're a fan of vintage with a touch of kitsch, it's right up your alley.
Man i want to go to NYC again so bad!! :)

I love this place and I completely agree with Martha - its my favourite too! I spent so much when I went but it was worth it. Did you buy any new treasures if you did I can't wait to see what you made.

That place looks like heaven on earth. I'm easily excited by craft stores to begin with, but a craft store decorated with antiques?? Drool.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a big treasure chest!
