Tools and Materials:
Mini bungee cords (10 inch)
Copper coupling
Lighter
Scissors
Not pictured: Super glue

Snip the ends off the bungees, and give them all a good couple of stretches. (This way, they will slide easier over your wrist.)
Thread all the bungees through the copper coupling.
To connect the ends of each bungees: Hold the two ends in one hand. Use the lighter to melt down the nylon around the rubber core. Working quickly and carefully, press the two melted ends together to fuse them together. (You're fusing the colored threads around the rubber core. )Repeat for each bungee.
Slide the copper coupling over the fused ends, and use a toothpick to add ample glue inside the coupling, securing the bungees in place.

I think it can be made of hair bands also... Cute and simple diy :)

Hair bands would work! Especially the colorful ones : )
DeleteCute project! Does the copper part have smooth edges?
ReplyDeleteThank you! And yes, it does!

Thanks doll!
DeleteThat's so cute! I love bungee cord. :)
ReplyDeleteOne thing you could do with the copper, if you had a ball peen or chasing hammer, is use the ball part to texture it. Or you could use metal letter stamps to stamp your name on it. I think they have those things at Michaels now, said the jewelry enabler. ;)
I also like to use a hammer and ice pick for texture. Looks very cool.
Those are some great ideas! I've seen those stamps at Michales too, but love the textured idea!
DeleteLove it :)
