DIY Quandary: What to Do With White Shorts
Have you ever felt absolutely crippled by indecision and perfectionism (or, it's less extreme sibling, gotta-do-it-right-ism) that comes with infinite possibilities? I often feel that way when I look at a great restaurant's menu, go to the craft store or someplace like M&J Trim (so many things to choose from!), and it's how I feel about these white shorts I thifted. It's not a problem of "what on Earth do I do with these?" but more "what couldn't I do with these?" So I pose the question to you, gentle reader, what the should I do with these great white shorts? Dye them pink? Stud them? Add some trim? Embroider? Or hell, I could just leave them white!

(Sorry if this posted twice, silly internet)
Really, what couldn't you do! :D Maybe add neon fringes on pockets. I wanted to try this, but I'm leaving tommorow so I don't have time.

Dip dye!!! Or make a galaxy pint :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with the dip dyers!
ReplyDeleteOmbre and crochet/doily lace inserts.
ReplyDeleteDip dye it lavender->fade to white
ReplyDeleteSequin the hem (rolled up part) with sequins a shade darker (yeah ultimate ombre effect!!)
And to complete it, line some sequins around the pockets
A good trick I use for sparkles, is to buy glittery ribbon from Joann Fabrics, then fabric glue/sew them on.
I did an illustration for you for a visual :3
