Repurposed Watchbands

I love these bracelets from designer Artemisia. The vintage and organic combination of the antique watchbands and stones is a perfect match. Better yet, from the designer's website, she writes "I've been working for some time now on re-creating, keeping a very small toolbox and minimally affecting the environment by discovering the beauty in re-purposed metals, antiques, stones, and fabrics," which expresses my ideal DIY perfectly.

In case you were wondering what happened to the watch faces, they became the focal point to some pretty little necklaces, letting nothing go to waste.

The bracelets are available for purchase from from Aremisia's Big Cartel shop and at Anthropologie.

  1. What a clever idea! I'm always wondering what to do with my broken watches (they never last long).

I like the use of the watch faces, too. I bet they'd also make great rings.
