Collar me badd

Earlier this week, I saw this post over at Fashionologie featuring these two shots from the streets of NYFW. I almost fell off my stool at the airport Starbucks, which wouldn't have been pretty since the heel of my boots would have hooked onto the foot rest resulting in scalding coffee burns. (I'm such a klutz, even in my imaginary world I'm falling over.) Regardless, both these collar necklaces can be DIY-ed. (Side note: Is DIY-ed even grammatically possible? Do-it-yourselfed?). Take a look.

Top: Create strands of hex nuts with large jump rings, staggering the length, and attach to a chain.
Bottom: Braid together some chain, old jewelry, and rhinestone trim.

  3. I'm loving all the chain and metal DIY inspiration I'm getting from this blog!

It's really getting me itching to start jewellery making again. It's been so long since I've done it and I think its almost time to rev it up again.

Thanks from a new follower ;)
